Mixed Teams

You will work with mixed teams consisting of German codecentric consultants and our nearshoring experts. All team members will work hand in hand on your project, regardless of their location. FAQs on nearshoring

What is nearshoring versus offshoring?
In offshoring, business processes are relocated to more distant countries, often to save costs – to Asia, for example. Nearshoring, on the other hand, means that companies outsource their processes to nearby countries, often in a similar time zone, such as Eastern Europe for German companies. This has the advantage that communication is easier, cultural differences are smaller and companies can react more quickly.
When is nearshoring the solution for me?
Nearshoring is an attractive option if you need to respond flexibly to fluctuating project requirements – especially during the resource-intensive implementation and testing phases. You benefit from scalable teams that integrate seamlessly into your existing processes and provide support exactly where you need additional manpower.
At the same time, you save costs without sacrificing good communication and fast response times. The proximity in time zone and cultural similarities ensure smooth collaboration – a clear advantage over more distant outsourcing options.
Where are your nearshoring developers based?
Our nearshoring developers are based in Lisbon (Portugal), Novi Sad (Serbia), Banja Luka and Doboj (Bosnia-Herzegovina). Around 100 colleagues currently work at these locations.
What technologies do nearshore developers master?
Our nearshoring teams bring comprehensive expertise in all areas of modern software development:

Frontend development:
React, Angular, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript for responsive, high-performance web applications
Backend development:
Java with Spring, Node.js, Python, C#, Golang, as well as databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and message systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
Mobile development:
Native apps with Swift and Kotlin, as well as cross-platform solutions with React Native and Flutter
Cloud & DevOps:
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform for cloud-native architectures
Data engineering:
Elasticsearch, Redis, and modern analytics solutions for data-driven applications

Please contact us to discuss the technology expertise you are looking for.
What does cooperation look like in nearshoring?
We work together in mixed teams in our customers' nearshoring IT projects. This means that you always have a first point of contact in Germany who defines the project requirements together with you and then ensures that they are implemented in the team.
